Albert Kahn Garden Retaining Wall

CONTEXT

The perimeter wall of the Albert Kahn estate in Boulogne-Billancourt, built from stone masonry, also serves as a retaining wall over a length of 35 meters.

To monitor its ability to withstand earth pressure and support its self-weight, CIDECO has been instrumenting the structure since November 2022. The aim is to refine the structural studies already performed and to provide early warning in the event of abnormal movements.

OPERATIONS

  • Visual inspection to detect potential disorders
  • Destructive testing to characterize wall composition and condition
  • Structural recalculations
  • Sensor installation
  • Installation report
  • Real-time monitoring
  • Quarterly monitoring reports
