Instrumentation and Vibrational Diagnosis: CIDECO Builds Strategic Connections in Germany

At the end of November, CIDECO headed to Bavaria for a strategic immersion at the heart of German engineering. The team traveled to Regensburg with a clear objective: to compare our diagnostic and monitoring methods with the expectations of a market renowned for its technical rigor.

A Privileged International Foothold

This trip took place during a week fully oriented toward international cooperation and marked by the Clusters Meet Regions conference. Therefore, to make the most of this opportunity, CIDECO activated the Corridor of Incubators. This initiative, created through an agreement between the incubators of the International Network of Michelin Cities, enables innovative companies to explore foreign markets under optimal conditions. Moreover, it provided an effective lever that allowed us to quickly immerse ourselves in the local ecosystem.

German Rigor as a Testing Ground

Germany is often cited as a benchmark in civil engineering and industrial maintenance. This mission therefore aimed to validate the relevance of our structural instrumentation solutions when facing our neighbors’ challenges: aging infrastructure, strict safety standards, and the digitalization of the construction sector.

The immersion confirmed that CIDECO’s hybrid approach, which combines physical field measurements with numerical modeling, aligns well with the expectations of asset managers seeking reliability.

Technical Synergies and a Shared Vision

Throughout the week, discussions with local stakeholders were highly valuable. They involved specialized companies, managing authorities, and university laboratories. In addition, these exchanges helped create a shared vision of future instrumentation challenges.

Beyond initial introductions, the meetings opened the door to advanced topics:

  • The integration of IoT and smart sensors for real-time monitoring.
  • New methodologies for predictive diagnostics.
  • The management of vibrational data for structural maintenance.

Towards European Cooperation

This first mission laid the foundations for future collaborations. The mutual interest in developing pilot instrumentation projects and applied research is genuine. As a result, by opening the door to these new perspectives, CIDECO strengthens its expertise and confirms its commitment to contributing to safer and more sustainable infrastructure monitoring on a European scale.
