Rooftop photovoltaic installation: structural diagnosis for the TF1 site

 

As part of a photovoltaic panel installation project on the rooftop terrace of a TF1 building, CIDECO intervened to verify the load-bearing capacity of the existing structural elements. The objective was to secure the installation of a metal structure supporting the future photovoltaic equipment.

Our teams carried out a structural diagnosis of the parapet and reinforced concrete wall located on the roof. The intervention combined georadar investigations, sclerometer measurements, as well as several targeted destructive surveys in order to characterize the existing structure and the condition of the reinforcements.

The analyses and calculations carried out made it possible to verify the load transfer related to the future metal framework and climatic loads. The results confirmed the feasibility of the project without the need for structural reinforcement.
