CIDECO is a French engineering company specialized in the structural diagnosis and monitoring of buildings and civil works.

Since its foundation, CIDECO has combined scientific rigor and field expertise to support public authorities, engineering firms, and construction companies in understanding and managing the behavior of their structures.

Our multidisciplinary team develops and implements customized measurement systems, combining mechanical, electronic, and digital know-how. Whether for bridges, tunnels, buildings, or historical monuments, we help detect early signs of degradation and provide the data required for sound technical decisions.

Born from a strong background in structural diagnostics, CIDECO has built its reputation through hundreds of field campaigns across France. Over time, our activity naturally evolved toward high-precision instrumentation and continuous monitoring of structures.

Our engineers and researchers develop in-house technologies for the measurement of displacements, vibrations, and deformations. This constant innovation allows us to deliver reliable, quantitative assessments of structural integrity and to support predictive maintenance approaches.

Recent R&D initiatives include:

• A detection system for soil movements caused by clay shrink-swell cycles
• Development of various types of vibration sensors tailored for buildings and bridges
• Data analysis methods for operational modal analysis, for the assessment of the dynamic behavior of structures (short term vibration diagnostics) or the early detection of structural disorders (long term vibration monitoring)

Through these projects, CIDECO contributes to the advancement of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) techniques and supports the transition toward more resilient infrastructure management.

Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand with a second office in Nanterre (Paris area), CIDECO operates throughout metropolitan France and is expanding its activities internationally.
